Wig Application
Prepare Your Natural Hair: Flatten Hair
- Short Hair: Comb it back and tuck it behind your ears.
- Long Hair: Part your hair down the middle or where you plan to part the wig and create two braids or twists. Cross them over the back of your head and secure with bobby pins.
- To achieve the best results, ensure that no loose natural hair is on your face, particularly around the hairline and ears. Make sure all your hair is pulled back and away from your face. Use a small amount of water to keep your hair away from your face.
Apply Wig Grip:
- Wrap wig grip around and secure with velcro.
- Logo of wig grip should be on the side or in the back of head.
- Regular adjustment: Adjust the wig grip as needed throughout the day to maintain a secure fit.
- Clean regularly: Wash the wig grip to keep it clean and effective.
- The wig grip is available in different colors. We provide clients with a nude wig grip by default, but depending on the wig's density, a darker wig grip might provide a better appearance (thinner density).
Before You Put On Hair Wig:
- View if theres any uncut lace material on hairline in the front and back of wig. Cut this un-needed lace along the hairline of the wig where there's no hair.
- To ensure the best appearance, you might need to trim small sections of the lace around the hairline. It's advisable to ask a trusted friend or family member to examine the lace on your wig while you're wearing it before making any cuts. If alone, do this in front of a mirror. Remember to make only small, precise snips for the best results.
- Some clients may need to trim their wigs around the sideburns area. To do this, make the cut(s) slowly, at an angle (diagonal), and in small sections to determine the best stopping point. You should be able to comfortably put your hair (wig hair) behind your ears without any loose lace flapping upwards or visible. If you do this cut in one try, the cut piece should resemble a triangle.
- Please be careful when cutting the lace, as there are essential wig materials on the sides that should not be cut. If these materials are cut, the wig will be ruined. If you return a wig with the side elastic/materials cut, you will need to purchase a new wig at full cost. We will return the wig to you.

Put On Hair Wig:
- Hold the wig: Hold the wig by the nape (the back) and shake it gently to open up the cap.
- Position the wig: Place the front of the wig at your forehead and slide it back over your head. Adjust the wig so it sits naturally along your hairline.
- Adjust the fit: Align the wig with your temples. Make sure the wig sits comfortably and securely on your head.
- The wig grip should not be visible at the hairline. If it is, please remove the wig and adjust the wig grip slightly. If the wig feels like it's slipping off, adjust the wig grip again for a more secure fit.
Secure the Wig
- Check the grip: Gently tug on the wig to ensure it is securely held by the wig grip. The wig should not move easily.
Adjustment Tips
- Rear comb should align with the back of your head. Some wigs may have this removed for comfortability with request from client or suggested from staff.
- Ensure a comfortable fit by adjusting security hooks and wig grip. Continue adjusting until the wig feels snug. The wig grip should not be visible, but it also should not be positioned too far back on your head. If the wig feels like it is slipping off, the wig grip may need to be repositioned closer to hairline.
- Wig hairline should sit flat against the skin; untuck any folded lace.
- Match Your Hairline: Position the wig slightly behind your natural hairline for a more realistic appearance. We understand this may seem contradictory to the statement above, but you'll see what we mean when you adjust the wig grip.
- Customize the Fit: Don't be afraid to trim or style the wig to better suit your face shape and personal style. See a licensed professional for cutting.
Remember: Lace should sit on your skin, not on your natural hair or wig grip. Check the provided images for hairline references here
Care Tips
Gentle Washing:
- Use a mild, sulfate-free shampoo to wash the wig.
- Gently lather and rinse, avoiding excessive rubbing.
- Blondes use cool water.
Conditioning:
- Apply a quality conditioner, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends.
- Leave the conditioner on for a few minutes before rinsing.
Cold Water Rinse:
- Rinse the wig with cold water to seal the hair cuticles and add shine.
Drying:
- Gently blot excess water with a towel.
- Allow the wig to air dry on a wig stand to maintain shape.
- After cleansing and drying, if the wig doesn't feel as it did when it was new, there may still be some product residue on it. Please re-rinse it thoroughly. If re-rinsing doesn't restore the original feel, try using a different shampoo and conditioner.
Avoid Excessive Heat:
- Minimize heat styling to prolong the wig's life.
- If styling is necessary, use low heat settings and heat protectant.
- Use heat as needed, but like real hair, frequent high heat can cause damage. For special occasions, higher heat is fine but monitor closely to avoid burning. For everyday styling, low to mid heat is preferred.
- Use heat at your discretion.
Brushing:
- Use a wide-tooth comb or a paddle brush to detangle from the ends to root. Start at the tips and work your way up to avoid breakage.
Storage:
- Store the wig on a wig stand or in a plastic container. A breathable space when not in use is preferred.
- Keep it away from direct sunlight, heat, chemicals, kids, and animals.
Avoid Chemicals:
- Minimize exposure to harsh chemicals. I.e. relaxers, bleach, ammonia, chlorine (found in pool water), hair dye or color removers, hydrogen peroxide, laundry detergents, dishwashing liquids, all-purpose cleaners, alcohol-based products, and acidic cleaners (e.g., vinegar, lemon juice in high concentrations).
